Meet the Artist: Kim Druker Stockwell

This fall, we are welcoming the autumn season with a new featured artist at Ouimillie! Kim Druker Stockwell, a Boston-based artist and talented multi-disciplinary creative, currently is showing 25 original pieces of artwork at our storefront in Beacon Hill. The art ranges in size, medium and inspiration, and Kim is not afraid to experiment with new materials or styles, making her work exciting and beautiful with a dash of whimsy.

Kim divides her time between painting and writing in Boston and New Hampshire. She has an MFA from the Museum School at Tufts, a studio in SOWA Boston and has several gallery shows a year in several states. She writes a weekly newsletter that she founded in 2020, Women’s Survival Guide ,interviewing women passionate about what they do in that now-what phase of life with positivity and humor. She is also a contributing writer for other blogs.

Kim serves on the Board and as the Horticultural Chair for the Beacon Hill Garden Club and is on the board of The Nichols House Museum, serving on the Building and Grounds Committee. She is also involved in Friends of the Public Garden, and the Museum of Fine Arts. She is a mother to three girls, a dog and a cat and wife to her husband, Pel. Kim resides on Beacon Hill in Boston with her family.

Kim’s paintings express her fascination with the color, light and form found in nature. Her work reflects a physical process of building up paint and rubbing it off leaving traces of various colors that become the background for landscapes and floral settings. The result creates a complexity of space and a unique quality of color that cannot not be found in a tube.

Join us in celebrating Kim, her art, and the Ouimillie community! On Thursday, October 10 at 6pm, we will be hosting an "Art & Aperitifs" night at our Beacon Hill store to celebrate the installation of Kim's work. There will also be a curated selection from our partner brands, including a feature with our current pop-up Kkira!
