Alan Barrington Evans
Alan Barrington Evans grew up in Prattville, Alabama, and gained a passion for photography in 2005 while working at a photo lab and studying political science at Troy University Montgomery. He was involved in the Montgomery music scene and photographed his friends’ bands while they played shows at local bars and venues. In 2011 Alan was hired as the first employee of Indie Film Lab and owner Josh Moates taught Alan the importance of fine art photography while also introducing him to many talented fine art photographers. In Alabama, Alan began photographing unnoticed rural areas and parts of southern cities and has continued this passion wherever he goes. In 2016 Alan moved to Boston, Massachusetts and became the General Manager of Leica Store Boston. While in Boston, Alan met many photographers he looked up to and admired. Each influencing him to follow his passion. In Summer 2021, Alan moved back to Alabama to be closer to family but to also follow his passion for photography. Alan still works for Leica, his favorite camera company, while also pursuing his love for photography.
