Pairings Exhibition @ 555 Gallery

Art Design Events News

Ouimillie is very excited to be working in collaboration with 555 Gallery and Camden Hydes for the Pairings Exhibition, on view from February 11 through April 30, 2017 at the Gallery's über-cool space in South Boston.  The exhibition features fine arts photography and contemporary furniture paired in a curated gallery installation. Intimate vignettes are dotted throughout the Gallery, created to inspire ideas for showcasing art and design in one’s most personal environment:  the home.

Pairings is inspired by the work of artists Julie Brooke Alexander, Michael Benari, Steven Duede, Katherine Gulla, Alice Hargrave, Bear Kirkpatrick, Koichiro Kurita, Dirt Lux, David Mattox, Jim Nickelson, Neal Rantoul, Gail Samuelson, Elliot Schildkrout, Dorothea Van Camp, Annemarie Whilton, and Cassandra Zampini, as well as designs from by Lassen, Hartô, Gubi, Louise Roe, Maison de Vacances, SPRDLX, and Colleen Mothander of Camden Hydes.

We hope you'll stop by the Gallery at 555 E. 2nd Street to experience Pairings.  Owner, Susan Nalband, is an expert at making clients feel welcome and informed.  In the meantime, you can find more information about this unique exhibition here.

555 Gallery

555 Gallery specializes in bringing the work of a growing number of emerging and established fine art photographers to collectors and buyers in Boston and internationally. In 2013, the creation of 555 Gallery in Boston came from Susan Nalband’s personal admiration for the work of the many talented artists evolving in this new era of contemporary photography.

Nalband has over thirty years of experience as a photographer, a serial entrepreneur, an installation director and an art consultant. She was raised in Minneapolis, and was heavily influenced by her family’s love of art and artists and the Walker Art Center’s collection of  the work of the 20th century art giants.

Camden Hydes

Camden Hydes is a luxe line of hair-on-hide fine furnishings designed by Colleen Mothander, Boston-based interior designer. Each piece is as unique as the hide that covers it.  All of the exquisite hides are carefully selected from cruelty-free resources, and each piece is professionally appointed with great attention paid to every detail. In fact, the underside of every piece is finished in the signature Camden box plaid fabric, label and gold horsebit, so be sure to take a peek underneath.
